This is what makes my life so epic!
I’ve been an art teacher “forever” and the number of my former students is legion. One of the ephemeral things about being a teacher, especially at the elementary level where I resided, is that we rarely know the impact we may have made on those students.
saying “yes” to the journey
At what point do we decide to jump? For the last two years I have felt a stirring deep in my spirit to launch into the unknown. Take a risk that could fundamentally change my life and destiny forever. The problem? I was unsure what exactly I was supposed to say “yes” to and what this journey would look like.
I’ve found it.
Who would’ve thought that a post on Facebook from my elementary art teacher would start me down a path of self-discovery to fulfill a hunger I didn’t know I had. A network of individuals who have all felt the same stirring. God (or the universe) calling each of them to their own hero’s journey where they will strip all that entangles, and transform themselves into the person they always knew they were, they just needed help finding.
I’ve always been a great student. Having double majored in Communication and Practical Theology in college, pursuing my master’s in my favorite art form (theatre), to recently finishing my doctorate in organizational leadership (I’m in the dissertation phase), I’ve loved learning. But this is going to be a different kind of study. The study of the world within.
The Masterkey Mastermind Alliance is going to equip me to rediscover Cory. To “unlock” who I am, my gifts, talents, desires, and dreams. The journey will be difficult- but a true hero’s journey is never easy. It costs everything, but the reward will be full of infinite possibilities.
I’m ready to jump.
Will you join me in my journey beyond?
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”
Thanks for sharing the beginning of Cory’s journey with the MasterKey Experience. I’ll be traveling alongside him and hundreds of others over the next six months, and hope you’ll stop back weekly to witness our experiences. It’s going to be epic!
Enjoy the journey!
