"Knowledge does not apply itself"
"Unless you can concentrate upon the object which you have in view, you will have but a hazy, indifferent, vague, indistinct and blurred outline of your ideal and the results will be in accordance with your mental picture."
Haanel, Part Twelve, The Master Keys
I lost focus this week. I also said goodbye to my twelve-year-old Golden Retriever, Sizzle - which is probably why I lost focus, yes? I do miss her and yet, I didn't want her passing to be the reason I allowed myself to wander aimlessly without direction.
Since I DO have a clear written service goal in life - and it involves animals - this week, I attempted to channel Sizzle's stoic persistence and good-natured perseverance and get back on the trail of that goal. I embraced all the love she so generously poured out in the 8 years I had her to infuse my thoughts with the invincible power of that emotion.
I kept these words in mind:
"The way to keep from going backward is to keep going forward. ... You must first have the knowledge of your power; second, the courage to dare; third, the faith to do." 12:4

Thanks "Sizz"! Your love is with me every day, helping me to keep my eye on the prize, and keep it in clear focus! I'm back on the path! Stay tuned for updates!
