For me this has been a week of observations … of contemplations … and decisions, as I
Looked forward – What do I see as the future? What do I think it will look like?
Looked backward – ok … that’s a long view! LOTS to remember, realize, recognize … very informative. Do I believe it or change it? and
Look FORWARD again. This time using the eyes of one who now knows she is “Nature’s Greatest Miracle” and can be whatever I will to be and not just what others have convinced me I am/can/will always be! THIS look at the future is about what I intend to CREATE it to be and how I will do it. I am on a journey. I have been on this journey for quite some time yet never fully realized it.
I’ve been called on a quest – on a hero’s journey. By whom, you might ask? At first it would seem to be my guides Mark J, Davene and the team of the MKMMA experience. They are handing out the assignments. They are setting the trail markers. But, THEY didn’t make me to join their course. They are simply the elegant mentors at this juncture of the path.
In truth, it is my soul, my spirit, my current manifestation of the Infinite. It has been talking to me and leading me and prodding me all my life and, until now, I have only bumbled along obediently like the small child, trustingly holding the hand of the leader. Now I’m waking up. Now I’m seeing the clues that have been tossed into my life like Gretel’s bread crumbs.
I found a book this week while cleaning out some old boxes of “stuff”. It was a book I’d read, leaned from, heard the author speak, and resonated with … in … 1986. Amazing. Not quite the same format as Joseph Campbell and yet all tales of the hero are related, yes? I am rereading this one again. Another trail marker on the path of the hero’s journey. I’m putting the pieces together. The path is brighter. There are still snares ahead, but I know I am in capable hands. MY hands. The INFINITE’S hands. I am not just following. I am walking side-by-side. I am beginning to smile.
Peace.

Great post, Deb. This hero’s journey we’re on will be an adventure. Thanks for sharing.
I really need to look into that book! That book showing up again, after all these years, was no coincidence. I love seeing the little things like that which kind of thrust into our face what our reality is! Great job!!
Bravo Deb! “Within me burns a flame which has been passed from generations uncounted and it’s heat is a constant irritation to my spirit to become better than I am. And I will.”
How exciting to be on the hero’s journey, and to actually realize it! Great post!!
I love that you found that book from your past! That says you have always been searching, questioning and that a power greater than us has been guiding you to where you are today – finding the answer that has always been within yourself.
