Last week, we were asked to answer the question: “If we are all reading Og Mandino’s book – and there are 200+ of us in MKMMA – how can we EACH be THE GREATEST SALESMAN IN THE WORLD?”
How indeed!
By believing in MYSELF and selling MYSELF on creating the life of my choosing with my thoughts, habits and actions, I make the greatest sale of all time! And let me tell you – this is the best training ground for success ever! I am one tough customer – or at least my OBM (Old Blueprint Me) is. Just like a seriously skeptical business prospect (or suspect) OBM has a counter or an objection or an excuse or an explanation for everything! Sound familiar? OBM = OMG!
And yet … I know this prospect, this tough customer, better than anyone else – so I know how to talk to her. I am perfecting the art of listening (sitting quietly) and the habit of acting (persistent, continuous action) and the virtue of honesty (keeping my promises). And I practice giving – without expectation of reciprocity from her – because I know it will return to me.
So! Insight this week – being the observer AND the observed! … Being the salesman and the customer … Being the teacher AND the student.
“I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and HAPPY!” I can be what I will to be – and I can sell anyone … especially MYSELF!
You?

Great post Deb. It sounds like you’ve made the sale. Congrats!
I know exactly how you feel!! If I could sell myself on myself then I would DEFINITELY be the greatest salesman in the world. Great post Deb!!
Deb, you sure hit the nail on the head with ‘creating the life of my choosing’. Sounds like this tough customer has wrangled that OB to the ground. Congrats!
Great post! Thanks for sharing your perspective!
Deb…you have been so generous with your comments on my blog, that I knew I had to pay you a visit. Great news…the world’s greatest salesman has figured out how to handle the toughest customer. Nicely done!
