Week Twelve – Lessons of the past revisited

I just reread another of last year’s blog posts, when a new “lesson” hit me – as I noticed a pattern forming in my journey toward living my new blueprint. I seem to be encountering the same stones in the path THIS year that I stumbled on LAST year! Hmmmm … am I not paying attention – or not taking action? (It’s the action part, I know that. Since I observed the pattern I must be paying attention, yes?) The essence of last year’s thoughts was:

“I admit it. I like doing things well. There are a number of things in life which I do, indeed, do well. I also like the feeling of effortlessly doing these things well.  For example:

throwing1) I am a potter and have been for 40 years. Throwing a pot on the wheel looks – and often feels – effortless. I don’t have to think about it. It flows.

armadillo2) I was an art teacher for 35 years – most of that time spent with elementary school students. The experience of interacting with, encouraging, and expanding the imaginations of “my kids” was natural and innate and … effortless. It did not feel like work.

I DO realize that neither of these examples materialized in full bloom without my having done LOTS of daily preparation and practice work. Yet, somehow, I expect myself to be able to be at that competency in the fabulous MKMMA experience of daily exercises, new neuro-pathways, peptide addictions, dharmas and heart’s desires …. nope, not effortless just yet!”

Insert new thought from today: There are aspects of the journey this year that HAVE become effortless. There are things that have simply now become integrated into who I am. Yet, there are still things that just seem like WORK! and I am self-critical that I’m not doing better … Insight? “The Law of Forgiveness“!! I need to forgive ME, see the progress I’ve made and just keep moving forward on the path.

Last year, the Universe wakened me at 3 am to have a conversation which wrapped up with: “No sleep Deb, until you take the lessons of Haanel, Mandino and Januszewski and tell me how they HELP what you’re dealing with.” Nutshell version of the entire 87 minutes I was awake includes this: “In truth, one step at a time is not so difficult”, “OH MY GOSH! You are creating a NEW BLUEPRINT!!!!!!!!”, “Ask and ye shall receive”, “compounding effect”, “persistence”, “greet this day with love” (for the task, the opportunity, and for yourself), “I can be what I will to be.” “What’s your detailed plan of action? – small steps will be fine.” “Law of Forgiveness” “Give me some specifics and you can go back to sleep.”  Done. I sleep. I awake a different person. I am in awe. “Do it now.”” Truth is Truth – and I needed to hear THIS truth again today.

universal mind“Small attempts, repeated (will) complete any undertaking.” “I (will) ignore the obstacles at my feet and keep mine eyes on the goals above my head, for I know that where dry desert ends, green grass grows. (Scroll III) The Law of Forgiveness: “To access the Divine and connect the Subconscious with the Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent Creator we must forgive everyone and anyone to clear the channel.” OK … got it !

Here’s what I think … While it may seem like I am stumbling on the same stones as a year ago, in truth (for me) they are different stones on a similar, yet familiar, path being traveled at a slightly different level of consciousness. It’s all good. It’s all progress. I persist. I forgive. I love this journey and the person I’m traveling with … future me!

Thanks for visiting. More next week. I promise. Merry Christmas!
