Master Key – Week 4

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

“know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?…For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

As someone who has been “blessed” to endure many ongoing health trials throughout my 19 years, I found great comfort and strength in the Master Key Week 4 Lesson.

“The “I” of you is not the physical body; that is simply an instrument which the “I” uses to carry out its purposes; the “I” cannot be the Mind, for the mind is simply another instrument which the “I” uses with which to think, reason, and plan.”

I absolutely loved this! We were given our temporal bodies as a vessel in our ultimate quest of refining and improving our true “self”- our soul, our mind, our spirit. To achieve greatness, we must understand the importance of combined efforts and balance between the Mind and the Body.

Further into the lesson we read, “This is because the individual is a part of the Universal. A part cannot antagonize any other part, but, on the contrary, the welfare of each part depends upon a recognition of the interest of the whole.”

This week, Master Key has encouraged us to find the true nature of “I,” and in order to do this, we must come to peace with all aspects of ourselves, of each person’s individual “I.” Our physical bodies, our Mind. I take this in a more detailed manner…our emotions, our thoughts, our intentions, our self-acceptance, insecurities.

The inner becomes the external…our outward reality is a result of our inner thoughts, desires, hopes, dreams. As we hone all aspects of the “I,” we prepare ourselves to reach success.
