Week Eighteen – Seeing the connections

dotdotdotI confess … I thought this week’s blog was going to be difficult to create. I’m out of town, out of my usual daily routine and into the environment of a large business conference for three days. I thought finding words to connect with Haanel  and Part 18 of the Master Keys would be a stretch, but what I FOUND astonished me! (And I’ve only been through Day ONE of the conference!)

I’ve trained my ‘self’ over the last 17 weeks to be the Observer and, at the conference today, she effortlessly saw so many threads that link Master Key study with the business I have established. My MKMMA mentor, Mark J, likes to call this “R2A2″ or Recognize, Relate, Assimilate and Apply.

sunI sat in the audience and listened (with my eyes and ears) as numerous company and field leaders talked about innovations and plans for the year ahead and visions already-realized; yet what my “mind” – my “world within” was hearing was: “A new civilization is being born; customs, creeds, and precedent are passing; vision, faith and service are taking their place.” (4)  — ” … he who has his heart in his work is certain to meet with unbounded success. He will give and continually give; and the more he gives, the more he will receive.” (24) — “Power depends upon consciousness of power … ” (29) — and — “There is no thought in my mind but it quickly tends to convert itself into a power and organizes a huge instrumentality of means.” (Emerson)

Words … phrases … “unrelated” comments in a conversation … finding people in a coincidental manner … each tickled peptide connections that began to fire quicker and quicker throughout the day, thus weaving themselves into a strand that drew my within-and-without closer together, knitting a stronger and stronger linkage between the two.

I even heard Scroll one: “I will be a slave to GOOD habits and this is my will!” Mandino

Talk about recognize, relate, assimilateapply!!

venn colorsSometimes its easy to compartmentalize areas of my life — my family, my part-time-job, my business, my studies (Master Keys) — and think of them as discreet entities. Days like today fill me with such joy and excitement that the boundaries (if they ever existed) are blurring, the contents of the separate compartments are blending with one another and a gorgeous new color combination is being created that could only have come from “the world within”.

Just imagine the threads – and linkages – and applications on the horizon after Day THREE of this conference! I’ll keep you posted.

Thanks for visiting.  More next week. I promise!
