I learned a lot about myself in the Silence this week. I learned a lot about myself in “stream of consciousness” writing after sitting in silence. A lot.

Trying to transform anger, guilt, fear, unworthiness and hurt feelings from impediments into tools for growth sent me into the silence. I couldn’t figure it out. So, I thought about one – fear – and how it was manifesting as a roadblock in my business. Where did it come from? How did it FEEL when it showed up? What caused it? Why was it hanging around? How could I get it to go away? How could I use it to GROW?

“What am I pretending not to know?”

The thoughts I wrote after sitting in silence did not come from my conscious mind (like composing and creating this blog, for example) They just flowed and I had to write fast to keep up. Only when I was “done” did I stop to READ what had been put down pen-to-paper. That’s when my education began. Simple and profound.

Yes, I now know the origin of the fear. Yes, I now know why it continues to hang around. And yes, I now know how I can get it to go away.

I have a CHOICE. All I have to do is MAKE THAT CHOICE.

Everything IS a miracle! I had the fear yet I didn’t know where it came from or why … but I DID know. I didn’t know how to deal with it or turn it into a tool for expanding my comfort zone out into the world … but I DID know how. I just had to be quiet and ask myself. And I had to listen.

This journey is so cool. I feel so energized and ready to kick fear to the curb. And I KNOW I can do it. I have the tools!
