Week One – New Beginnings from Old Lessons

new beginnings from old lessons

There are so many ways to start the first post of a new blog in the first week of a new  adventure!

“Been here before – didn’t learn it all – gotta revisit” …

“Everything old is new again … today I begin a new life” …

“Well begun is half done … this time I GET it!” …

spiralstaircaseI have been on this 26-week MKMMA journey before. Last year – same time – same place. I’m taking the journey again. Why? I have things to learn.  Why do the same exact thing over again? to build new, good habits. Will I be taking the EXACT thing over again? no. nothing is ever exactly the same.

Am I the same person? no. Will I have the same experience? no. Did I learn things the last time through that will help me this time? yes. Will I see, feel, share, notice, experience things I missed the last time through? definitely. I can’t wait!

wide trailunworn trailTo me the world within (within my mind, my spirit, my soul, my being) is a lush forest of thoughts and feelings that is mine to know, cultivate, understand and control. The journey of MKMMA is for me to turn the underused forest trail within into a well-travelled, familiar, wide trail!

I invite you to join me weekly on this journey of the world within. I will share with you my thoughts and feelings; my struggles, insights, epiphanies and successes! You will see where I have come from and get a glimpse of where I’m going.

Ask me questions – we learn better when we teach.

inuksuksightlineI’m taking this journey daily. Daily. Reading – sitting – thinking – listening – doing. Forming good habits and becoming their slave.

“Good habits are the key to all success. Bad habits are the unlocked door to failure.” (Scroll 1 – “The Greatest Salesman in the World” by Og Mandino)   ” … it is another of nature’s laws that only a habit can subdue another habit.”

This week in “The Master Keys” by Charles Haanel, we read, “There is a world within – a world of thought and feeling and power; of light and life and beauty and, although invisible, its forces are mighty. (6)” … “The world within is governed by the mind … and since the world within is subject to our control, all laws of power and possession are also within our control. (7)” … “The world without reflects the circumstances and the conditions of consciousness within. (12)” … “What comes to us in the world without is what we already possess in the world within. (16)” … “Every thought is a cause and every condition an effect … (31)”

All growth is from within.” (38)

This is what I’m learning. This is what we can share. Come on over. Sit down. Relax. Read. Listen. Feel. The world within is a wonderful place – and it can make the world without equally wonderful.

This I am discovering. This I believe.
